Don't expect the Batman V Superman trailer whilst Avengers: Age Of Ultron is burning up the box office...
Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel follow-up, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, is scheduled for release in March 2016. Which makes it slightly surprising that - outside of the hall of San Diego Comic-Con - no footage from the film has yet been (officially) released. After all, it's pretty much the law with most blockbusters now that the first trailer lands a good year ahead of the movie's release.
Well, it looks as if the wait for the first Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer will continue just a little longer. Collider is reporting that Warner Bros will definitely be playing it beforeMad Max: Fury Road, which is due for release on May 15th. The reason for waiting until then, given that the trailer is apparently locked? "What I've heard is that Warners isn't sure it wants to release the trailer while Avengers: Age Of Ultron is destroying records and driving all social traffic until the end of April and early May," the site reports.
Thus, it's looking to hold off until two weeks after Joss Whedon's new Avengersmovie has been released in US cinemas. And that means that the Batman V Superman:Dawn Of Justice trailer is likely to arrive mid-May.
Also in trailer news, reports are suggesting that the next trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be playing before Avengers: Age Of Ultron. And that's just weeks away.
