Jupiter's Legacy by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely will get the big-screen treatment.
NewsNot all superhero movies have to come from DC or Marvel. Jupiter's Legacy is published by Image Comics, and comes from comics heavy-hitters Mark Millar and Frank Quitely. Now Lorenzo di Bonaventura (the producer who brings you cinematic classics like the GI Joeand Transformersmovies) will produce the film with Millar, and the two are searching for writers.
Kingsman: The Secret Service, another Mark Millar written comic, was recently brought to the screen to the tune of a hefty box-office haul by any standards, let alone that of an R-rated February release. Jupiter's Legacy is an adult-oriented, sci-fi/superhero legacy story, and should make for a fine spectacle on screen. The timing of this announcement is perfect, as the collected edition of Jupiter's Legacy hits comic shops today.
More on this as we get it.
