Phil Lord and Chris Miller are getting involved with The Flash movie, aiming for a lighter tone than some other DC superhero movies...
This is, how you say, kind of great news. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who you probably love from the Jump Streetmovies, The LEGO Movie, and Last Man on Earth, are getting involved with Warner Bros. upcoming The Flash movie. Fans worried about the increasing trend towards humorlessness in Warner's DC superhero movies should breathe a sigh of relief at the pair's involvement.
The Hollywood Reportersays that Lord and Miller are just here to write a treatment and haven't signed on as directors. Latino Review first reported the pair's involvement, though. This could be their next project, although they're also being courted to direct one of Sony's Ghostbustersfilms.
All we know about the non-TV version of The Flashis that Ezra Miller has signed on to star, and we may or may not meet him briefly in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We fully expect him to show up in Justice League Part One before The Flashopens on March 23rd, 2018.
