NewsAccording to Variety, Ryan Gosling has been cast in Guillermo del Toro's The Haunted Mansion, a supernatural family movie from Disney. The film is based on the theme park ride at Disneyland.
The Haunted Mansion is being written by D.V. DeVincentis (High Fidelity). When the film was first announced at SDCC 2010, del Toro guarranteed that this would not be a comedy. “If you take the children, they will scream,” he said.
That's comforting for us. Probably bad for the kids if the director's past projects are any indication. I mean, Pan's Labyrinth is kind of a kids movie, right?
