Continuing his series of snaps from the production of Suicide Squad, David Ayer's tweeted an image of Jared Leto's The Joker...
NewsYesterday, director David Ayer tweeted an image of Suicide Squad's assembled cast, which showed the likes of Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney gathering for a script read-through.
Yet one of the notable absences from that line-up of actors was Jared Leto - the latest actor to take on the role of the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker. If you've been wondering where he is, then wonder no longer - a few hours ago, Ayer once again took to Twitter with the following image:

It's a great image, and you certainly don't need us to point out that it's modelled on one of the most famous covers in DC Comics history: The Killing Joke, Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's disturbing one-shot from 1988.

It's an effective, fan-pleasing way of introducing Leto's incarnation of the character, that's for sure.
Suicide Squad, which tells the story of a team of supervillains united by the government to carry out top-secret missions, is set to go before cameras later this month. Warner has the movie scheduled for the 5th August 2016 - less than six months after the release of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice in March.
