James Gunn Hints at Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 Plot

James Gunn recently revealed that he had completed his outline for 2017's Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel, meaning the work of bolting the screenplay together was underway. And in a new chat with Vulture, the writer-director has dropped one or two more hints about the direction of Guardians Of The Galaxy 2.

Chatting to Vulture at the premiere of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Gunn revealed that "at its heart, Guardians is a story about families. And if the first film was about him and his mother, this is a story about fathers. So it's exciting to go there."

"Listen, I'm still excited about Star-Lord's character and where he goes."

Gunn threw in an extra tease, too. "I knew for a long time what the story of the second one was going to be," he admitted, "and the third one!"

Ladies and gentlemen, consider that your first hint as to Guardians Of The Galaxy 3.

Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, meanwhile, starts production early next year, ahead of its release on May 5th 2017.
