What made Jor-El the man he is, and what's the story of him and Zod? Russell Crowe would like to find out, in a Superman prequel...
NewsThe attention over the past few days has been on the follow-up to Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel movie, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Yet Russell Crowe, who continues to promote his directorial debut The Water Diviner, quite likes the idea of exploring what built up to Man Of Steel in the first place.
Crowe, of course, played Jor-El in Man Of Steel, and chatting to MTV he revealed that "what sparked my interest once I saw how Zack [Snyder, director] was creating Krypton."
He then said that "I'd like to see what made Jor-El, Jor-El. What made him and Zod, who are folklorically friends, what split them apart."
That said, Crowe is going to have to get in a queue, as at the moment, it seems that Superman is struggling to get a standalone sequel to his first movie, yet alone a prequel. We'd imagine a Jor-El movie is a very long shot anyway, in truth, but if we hear more, we'll pass the news on.
