It was revealed a little while back that Scarlett Johansson had signed up to star in the movie, and then that it had been given a 2017 release date. Now we learn from Johansson that the project is very much moving forward, with Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) directing.
Chatting to Collider, Johansson confirmed that "it's happening", adding that "it will be shooting the beginning of next year, so I think we start production January or February, and it's me and Rupert; and that's all I know."
The currently earmarked release date for Ghost in the Shellis April 14th 2017.
