James Mangold's next Wolverine movie with Hugh Jackman has picked up the Blade Runner 2 writer.
NewsThere are two projects that we're really excited about that are nonetheless frustrating to write about. One is the untitled Flash/Arrow spinoff TV series. The other is the untitled Wolverine sequel coming in 2017. We don't know what to call them, and it makes for rambling long introductions like these.
Anyway, Den of Geek can now confirm Michael Green (who wrote Green Lantern, a rather good draft of The Flash that never saw the light of day, and is currently at work on Prometheus 2 and Blade Runner 2) is joining up with Wolverine 3...or The Wolverine 2...as writer. He couldn't offer any details, which is unsurprising. I asked him about that title, too, but...no dice.
James Mangold, who directed The Wolverine, will return as director, and of course Hugh Jackman is back as Logan. Mangold was about to start on The Deep Blue Goodbye with Christian Bale, but an injury to Bale has delayed that project until after Wolverinewraps.
The Wolverine movie with the name that I don't know how to type is due on March 3rd, 2017.
The Wrap first reported the news.
