It Follows' Maika Monroe has been cast in Independence Day 2!
NewsRoland Emmerich, director of Independence Dayand its highly anticipated sequel, announced on Twitter this evening that It Follows' star Maika Monroe will be in Independence Day 2. Monroe, of course, just made huge waves with the 80s revival indie horror film that has garnered a whole lot of press and an early cult following.
What Monroe's role in the film will be is anyone's guess. But we'll keep you posted!

Usher, Vivica A. Fox, Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher and Charlotte Gainsbourg have also been cast in the sequel. The film is due on June 24, 2016.
