NewsWhilst Sony continues with plans for a 23 Jump Street movie, to reunite Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, it turns out that a female-headlined spinoff from the series is being planned.
The firm has hired Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs (Comedy Central's Broad City) to put together a screenplay for a film, which will be based on the tone of Chris Miller and Phil Lord's 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street.
As of yet, that's there's no further information available, not least whether Messrs Lord and Miller are involved in any capacity at all on this one. We'd be surprised if they directed, given that their slate of projects seems busier than anyone else's in Hollywood right now. But as we hear more on the film, we'll pass the information your way...
