Suicide Squad: Ben Affleck rumored, Alex Meraz cast

Production is finally underway on David Ayer'sSuicide Squad movie, the second 2016 release in the DC movie universe (following Zack Snyder's Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice).

Suicide Squad is being headlined by the likes of Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis. And two new pieces of casting news have come to light, now that cameras have started rolling.

Firstly, there are reports that Ben Affleck has been spotted on the set of the movie, which suggests that at the very least, Bruce Wayne will be turning up inSuicide Squad. Who knows: Batman might make an appearance as well.

And we've also learned that Alex Meraz, of the Twilightmovies, has signed up to appear in Suicide Squad as well. The actor's role has not yet been confirmed, however. Here's Meraz, in the standard male outfit for the Twilight films...
