We'll have to wait a little bit longer to see that Power Rangers reboot, and some other movies have had their dates moved around.
NewsThere's not too much to tell about the new Power Rangers movie at the moment other than the fact that Project Almanac director Dean Israelite is on board, with Zack Stentz writing.
Well, now Lionsgate and friends have a little more time to sort things out on that one, because Power Rangers, which had been scheduled for a July 22nd, 2016 release date, has moved to January 13th, 2017. This might be another sign of "blockbuster escalation" where no season is safe from bit tentpole flicks. Or maybe there just isn't much faith in Power Rangers. Who knows?
The move comes as part of some other release date shuffling:
American Ultrawill open August 21st, 2015, replacing Kevin Costner's Criminal, which moves to January 22nd, 2016
Dirty Grandpawill be released on February 26th, 2016.
Gods Of Egyptmoves to April 8th, 2016.
La La Land will open on July 15th, 2016.
