While Ms. VanCamp played Cap's next door neighbor, "Kate," who was more than she appeared to be, there's actually more to it than that. Agent 13 is Sharon Carter. Yes, she's the niece (or grand-niece?) of the title character of the Agent Carter TV series.
In the comics that The Winter Soldier was based on, and that Civil War will take further inspiration from, Agent 13 is a crucial character in Captain America's journey. Keep an eye on this one.
