Terminator: Genisys five new character posters land

Word of warning: the third poster down looks spoiler-y to us. Although it's a spoiler that was revealed in the most recent trailer.

We're well into summer blockbuster season 2015 now, and one of the more expensive gambles of the next few months is the big budget restarting of the Terminator franchise.

Terminator: Genisys is being directed by Thor: The Dark World's Alan Taylor, and it stars Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Matt Smith, Byung hun-Lee and Jai Courtney. And some of those fine people are front and centre of the new bunch of character posters for the film, that have just been released.

What's surprising is how the promotion for the film seems to have given the game away a little with regards Jason Clarke's character, who we now learn here is a T-3000. The last trailer for the film was very spoiler-y on this point in particular, a surprise that felt like it should have been held back.

Still, the film itself may have a lot more up its sleeve, so it's way too early to judge of course. And our ticket is sold for the film's release, at the start of July.
