Chris Hemsworth has been hired to take down messages for the new Ghostbusters team in the reboot.
NewsWho you gonna’ call when it comes to the new Ghostbusters reboot? Well, as it turns out…Chris Hemsworth! Yes, in an already amusing bit of reversed gender casting, the widely popular movie star and big screen God of Thunder has been tapped to take down notes and messages for Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon.
Ghostbusters director Paul Feig revealed the news himself via Twitter with the below picture and the hashtag, “#whoyougonnacall.”
Hemsworth will be taking over a position once held by the wonderful Annie Potts in Ivan Reitman’s Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. However, in the reboot, Hemsworth will be working with a different team that originates as a group of female paranormal investigators that are embroiled in a supernatural plot by the federal government. The film also stars Cecily Strong.
Ghostbusters will be spooking into theaters with the whole team on July 22, 2016.
