Apparently, the new King Arthur film has a special cameo performance by David Beckham...
NewsOkay, we never saw this one coming. Guy Ritchie is currently in the midst of shooting the first of up to six planned new King Arthur movies. Knights Of The Round Table stars Charlie Hunnam, Eric Bana, Jude Law and Annabelle Wallis, and Joby Harold has penned the screenplay.
And now? We, er, learn that David Beckham has joined the cast.
According to Film Divider, whose hit rate on breaking stories is genuinely remarkably high, Beckham has been cast in a cameo role in Knights Of The Round Table. As the site reports, "as the film tells a King Arthur origin story, there’s going to be a version of the scene where Excalibur gets drawn from the stone. This is where Beckham factors in."
Apparently, football puns have been duly written into the movie.
None of this has been confirmed at this stage. We guess we'll find out for certain on July 22nd 2016, when the film is set to arrive in cinemas.
