Watch the first trailer for Zootropolis, the latest film from Walt Disney Animated Studios.
TrailerWalt Disney Animation Studios has been on a huge roll lately. This past February they picked up their second consecutive Best Animated Film Oscar for Big Hero 6, the most popular family film of last year’s holidays. And before that, they won for a little movie you might have heard about: Frozen.
Thus it is a bit of a surprise that they’re skipping a release slate this November. Still, the next House of Mouse animated effort, Zootropolis, is not far in the offing. Indeed, the furry March film that combines the cuteness of anthropomorphic Disney critters with an everyday urban environment has a new trailer and synopsis below for your viewing and reading pleasure.
Zootropolis opens March 25, 2016.
The modern mammal metropolis of Zootropolis is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootropolis, a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph, The Simpsons) and co-directed by Jared Bush (Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero).
