Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World is already being lined up for a mid-October disc and digital release...
NewsWell, that didn't take long. Now that official numbers are in, it's been confirmed that Jurassic World is the biggest opening movie of all time at the box office. And thus Universal is keen to get you to preorder the DVD and Blu-ray release of the film while the movie is still fresh in your mind. As is the modern way of doing things.
We can't confirm the US release date just yet, but Jurassic World is arriving on DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D in the UK from October 19th 2015.
Also in the UK, Universal is releasing a 3D double pack of Jurassic World and the original Jurassic Park. And then there's a thus-far Amazon exclusive collectors boxset for £69.99 ($110 US dollars). This will include the film on Blu-ray 3D, and two interlocking book-end statues of dinosaurs from the film. These dinosaurs are said to be collectable ones, as you might expect.
No special features have been announced for any versions thus far. We'd imagine a boxset of the four Jurassic Park movies to date is likely, too.
