NewsDope, the Sundance success story that is produced by Forest Whitaker, and executive produced by Pharrel Williams and Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, is pretty dope, indeed. The film has been heralded as the next great coming-of-age tale and features a star-turn performance by Shameik Moore, stylish direction from Rick Famuyiwa, and a booming ‘90s hip-hop soundtrack.
