NewsWhile it has only been a few weeks since our last Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation trailer, Paramount is working overtime since they decided to move the fifth Tom Cruise spy thriller up to July. So enter our latest three minutes of action movie glory, appropriately named “Payoff.” Indeed, the already famous airplane cliffhanger from other teasers is now only the beginning of the promo.
In the new trailer, see Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt escape torturers, evade capture in high speed car chases, and all around deal with some rather uncomfortable political pressures from D.C. and an especially smug Alec Baldwin!
For M:I5, Cruise is reteaming with his Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie to tell the new tale of espionage intrigue. Just as Brian DePalma, John Woo, J.J. Abrams, and Brad Bird have in previous installments, a new direction for the franchise opens new opportunities. However, franchise stalwarts Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames are all set to return while Alec Baldwin, Simon McBurney, and Rebecca Ferguson are also joining the cast.
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation explodes into theaters on July 31.
