Catherine Tate, formerly a Doctor Who and The Office co-star, will star alongside Natalia Tena (currently Osha from Game of Thrones) in a British superhero comedy titled Superbob.
Superbob will chronicle the story of a shy postman in London who gets superhuman abilities after a radioactive meteor crashes to earth. Even with his new powers, Superbob remains the shy guy he's always been. After booking his first date in six years, he struggles to juggle the increasing demands of his community, the date, and a film crew that arrive at his doorstep to document a day off in the life of Superbob.
The fim will be directed by newcomer Jon Drever, the man that made the short film that Superbob is based on. Drever will begin shooting the film in the UK this month.
