With Sam Mendes back in to direct Bond 24, the project seems to be moving on the fast track. Thus, we have gotten our first tantalizing, though totally unconfirmed, rumor about star Daniel Craig’s fourth outing in the tuxedo.
According to British tabloid The Sun (thus be sure to down some salt with this), Bond 24 shall be titledDevil May Care. The title would come from Sebastian Faulks’ 2008 James Bond novel of the same name. Written in to commemerate the 100th anniversary of Ian Fleming’s birth, Devil May Care placed 007 back in the 1960s where he fought a sneaky heroin dealer who in Imperial Iran and Afghanistan who had designs to start a war between the USSR and Britain. Yeah…methinks that will not be the plot of the movie.
Is this true? With The Sun as a source, I am weary to say yes. But it certainly would be a catchy title that courts closer to Skyfall and Casino Royale than the laborious Quantum of Solace.
