Things are heating up for Dusty Crophopper in the DisneyToon Studio sequel Planes: Fire & Rescue.
Recently, Disney made fans across the globe happy when they announced a sequel to one of their most beloved films...The Incredibles. But until that that movie makes its debut in a few years, audiences jonesing for CGI fun will have to make due with releases like the forthcoming Planes: Fire & Rescue. (Cue The Facts of Life theme song). Seriously though, it looks much better than you probably anticipated.
Here's you first full look at the latest trailer:
This time around, Dusty (voiced by Dane Cook) takes a break from his air racing to join a fire and rescue operation. Quicker than you can say "hero's journey" he encounters a batch of fearless aerial firefighters who help him discover the true meaning of courage and sacrifice.
The animation on display here is truly high quality, and despite this franchise's origins as a Cars spin-off, it seems as if DisneyToon Studios has heard your complaints about its predecessor and is trying to make Planes: Fire and Rescuesomething special. You can check out Dusty's adventures with The Smokejumpers for yourself when the movie hits theaters on July 18th.
