Justin Marks is adapting the DC Comics/Vertigo property Federal Bureau of Physics for the big screen.
Federal Bureau of Physics (FBP for short) may be coming to the movies. Justin Marks, who is no stranger to geek-friendly properties, is writing an FBPscreenplay based on a treatment by FBPco-creator Simon Oliver. Fans may know Marks from Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, but he also penned unproduced (and quite good) screenplays for He-Man (Grayskull), Green Arrow (Escape From Supermax), and Suicide Squad. As with most DC properties at Warner Bros. David Goyer is on board as producer along with Nellie Reed and John Berg.
What is the Federal Bureau of Physics? The comic (formerly known as Collider), deals with a world where the laws of physics have gone haywire, so anomalies pop up from time to time that require dealing with. While we all continue to wait for Ghostbusters 3 to get off the ground, the working-class sci-fi of Federal Bureau of Physics sounds like a fine alternative. You can find the ongoing series wherever fine comic books are sold.
