Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be available on home video soon, but it's missing something fans have come to love.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier finally has a confirmed home video release date, and it's September 9th. If you prefer formats like Digital 3D and HD, you can get it earlier, on August 19th. That's good to know, but the list of special features reveals something that may make fans feel like there's something missing. There's no Marvel One-Shot on any version of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The short films, which explore smaller and dustier corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, have become a favorite of fans, and we were hoping there would be a steady diet of them on Marvel's home video releases. Last year's Agent Carter has even spawned its own ABC TV series, which will premiere in 2015. With Agents of SHIELD season two, Agent Carter, and Marvel's Netflix Daredevil series all about to hit production it's likely that even Marvel's considerable resources are stretched a little thin at the moment. No shame in that.
