The first look at HOME featuring Rihanna, Jim Parsons, and more!
Apple Trailers has the first trailer for 20th Century Fox and Dreamworks Animation's latest picture, HOME! The 3D film is based on Adam Rex's children's book The True Meaning of Smekday and features the voice talents of Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Steve Martin, and Jennifer Lopez and centers on the invasion and takeover of the Earth by an alien race called the Boov. When the Boov begin reorganizing the Earth, an escaped human girl, Tip (Rihanna) teams up with a banished Boov (Jim Parsons) and the two go on a road trip to stop the intergalactic invaders.

Rihanna is no stranger to feature films, after starring in Battleship and popping up in This Is the End, but this is her first time voicing an animated character. The singer will also be contributing a song for the film.

When Earth is taken over by the overly-confident Boov, an alien race in search of a new place to call home, all humans are promptly relocated, while all Boov get busy reorganizing the planet. But when one resourceful girl, Tip, (Rihanna, who also contributes a song) manages to avoid capture, she finds herself the accidental accomplice of a banished Boov named Oh (Jim Parsons). The two fugitives realize there’s a lot more at stake than intergalactic relations as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime.

The alien creature design is pretty bland and cliche. Rihanna voice looks like Mila Kunis, but still good. I think the kids will love it.
