The latest bunch of stories in and around Joss Whedon's The Avengers 2....
Filming continues in the UK for Joss Whedon and his team on their Avengersfollow-up, Avengers: Age Of Ultron. And one or two bits and pieces have come to light. Hence, this round-up.
Firstly, it seems that Andy Serkis has landed a role in the film (to add to the one he picked up in Star Wars earlier in the year!). Whether it's a role that involves his motion capture work or not remains to be seen, it's just been revealed so far that he will turn up in Avengers: Age Of Ultron somewhere. He is also helping Mark Ruffalo with motion capture work on the film.
The main cast of Avengers: Age Of Ultron meanwhile are set to take the stage at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, at the end of July, reprising the moment when they were announced and united together at the same venue back in 2010.
Next up? It seems as though Harley Davidson has handed over its first ever electric motorcycle to the new film. It's going to be ridden by Black Widow in the movie. And you're right. We'd never mention that story unless we were doing a round up like this.
Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige meanwhile has admitted that he'd like to see an Avengersmovie that crosses over with X-Men and Spider-Man, but "I don't think that'll happen anytime soon".
"Fox is doing very well – Days of Future Past just came out, was a big hit, and was a very, very good movie. As long as they keep doing that they’ll be able to keep those rights", he noted. "Sony - same thing - has very long term plans for Spidey". Feige refused to say that a crossover was impossible, but still unlikely.
Finally, as things stand, Italy is going to be the first to see Avengers: Age Of Ultron, with the film expected to debut on April 22nd 2015 there. It opens in the UK on the 24th, before arriving in the US on May 1st.
