Kevin Feige on Iron Man 4, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and a female-led superhero movie...

The press tour for Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxymovie is well underway, and as such, Kevin Feige - the head honcho at the studio - has been answering lots of questions.

For instance, he's done an interesting new interview with Collider, where he first of all confirmed that he knows exactly what the five new movies that were recently dated through to 2019 are. He's not telling just yet, outside of confirming that Thor 3 and Captain America 3 are being developed. He's also confirmed that, contrary to rumour, the role of Doctor Strange hasn't been cast yet, although that may change by the time of Comic-Con at the weekend, as it sounds as though contracts are being sorted.

He also said "anything's a possibility" when quizzed about getting Robert Downey Jr back for Iron Man4.

And then the conversation turned to the long-mooted Black Panther movie, and a possible superhero film with a female lead. Is Marvel open to both of those?

"I think we could, it’s a matter of when", Feige said. "It’s a matter of what are those dates, it’s a matter of juggling multiple, successful franchises. Is there a downside to managing multiple, successful franchises? I believe we’re figuring out that there is, which is having the time to do them all. So, at what point do we hold back a franchise or have three or four years between parts of a franchise in order to introduce new ones? Or do you introduce new ones within the body of the films? We’re looking at all those things right now".

Marvel is likely to have some announcements this coming weekend, assuming contracts can be signed in time. In the meantime, the excellent Colliderinterview is here.

For Doctor Strange, anyone on this planet except Johnny Depp.

Amazing, all we get are vague "if and whens" in regards to any movie that's not about a white dude.
