Predators writer Michael Finch joins the Deus Ex movie, as Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson drops out...
There has been a couple of signifcant changes in personnel for the still-in-development movie of the Deus Ex videogame series.
Firstly, Michael Finch, who previously penned Predators, has boarded the project to work on a script. Whether he will pick up the previous screenplay from C Robert Cargill and Scott Derrickson remains to be seen.
However, Derrickson was also attached to direct, and somewhat inevitably, that's no longer the case. Instead, his next two years at least are going to be spent bringing Marvel's Doctor Strange to the screen.
There's no word yet on who's going to replace Derrickson in the director's chair. Given the strength and depth of the source material, we remain cautiously optimistic over theDeus Ex movie though. When it gets a bit closer to actual production, we'll let you know...
