Legendary Pictures gave Comic-Con goers a look at Michael Mann's new project, which is now titled Blackhat.
The "Untitled Michael Mann Project" or "Cyber," as it was previously known around the web, now has an official name, synposis, and logo to boot.
During Legndary Pictures San Diego Comic-Con panel, the company gave a first look at footage from Mann's next project, which is now titled Blackhat.
The film is set to be directed and produced by Mann, and his on-screen talent includes Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis, Tang Wei and Wang Leehom. Mann co-wrote the screenplay with Morgan Davis Foehl, who had previously been linked to stalled Mass Effect film as a writer. Mann hasn't directed or written a film since the 2009 crime drama Public Enemies.
According to the Legendary Pictures press release, Blackhat "follows a furloughed convict and his American and Chinese partners as they hunt a high-level cybercrime network from Chicago to Los Angeles to Hong Kong to Jakarta."
