The latest trailer for the documentary detailing the doomed Tim Burton Superman Lives film is here. It's great.
Last month, the first trailer for The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? hit the web. For those of us who like to obsess over superhero movies that never got made (and there are more of us than you think), this was a fairly thunderous arrival. Why? Here's the short version...
For years, Warner Bros. were desperate to bring the "Death of Superman" storyline to the screen. Along the way they enlisted Batman's Tim Burton to direct, inexplicably cast Nicolas Cage as Superman, and wrote a host of screenplays all dealing with (more or less) the same basic theme: the death of Supes. The film came so close to production that there were sets and costumes created, special effects tests done (including ones with Cage in a Superman costume), and more.
Director Jon Schnepp has gone to great lengths to bring you this story, and from the looks of these trailers, what he has compiled looks brilliant. The thing is...they need a little more money to finish the film, thus, the new trailer, which reveals several more bits and pieces we didn't see in the last one. So, watch it now, then consider donating a few bucks...
