The writers of X-Men: First Class are getting set to write an Acme-centric Looney Tunes movie for Warner Bros.
Ever wonder where Wile E. Coyote ("super genius") got all his wonderful toys? Who would run the show at an operation like Acme, anyway? From the sound of things, writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class) will tell the tale.
The currently untitled Acmemovie won't feature Bugs Bunny or the aforementioned Coyote, but would be a CG/live-action hybrid. I wouldn't rule out a cameo or two, though. Steve Carrell is set to star in the film, which will obviously deal with the behind-the-scenes antics of the company that creates the deathtraps and rocket-powered insanity that powers the Looney Tunes universe.
The Hollywood Reporter suspects that I Love You, Philip Morris writers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa may be coming on board as directors. In the right hands, an Acmemovie could be the perfect kind of insanity. We'll keep a close eye on this one, and wait by the mailbox for our jet-propelled unicycle...
