Now You See Me 2 will bring the gang back in 2016.
2013’s bank robbing magicians movie, Now You See Me, might not have made a whole lot of sense to critics, but that didn’t stop the picture from making nearly $352 million appear out of nowhere at the global box office, including almost $118 million in the U.S. Somewhere The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is weeping quietly.
Naturally a sequel has been conjured up. Summit Entertainment has officially set June 10, 2016 as the release date for Now You See Me 2, which will find Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine all returning from the first movie. Director Louis Leterrier has done a disappearing act, however, with Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) stepping behind the camera for this one. Can he make the magic happen again? That will be the real trick.
