See Jennifer Lawrence spread the word of la révolution in the final poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.
The fire is spreading, and after teasing us with Katniss Everdeen’s cold shoulder with last week’s poster, Lionsgate is ready for the warrior’s cry to be heard as Katniss gears up for a battle that is very much no longer a game.
In the below poster, take a new glimpse of a battle-hardened Katniss Everdeen as she puts away the childish games of the first two movies, and takes her bow to the streets of Panem. There is something vaguely ominous about what may be an indicator of another trailer to come.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 adapts the first half of Suzanne Collins' book and boasts the cast of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Natalie Dormer, Julianne Moore, Stanley Stucci and Donald Sutherland.
In the not-so-distant future, the Hunger Games are over, and Katniss’ home, the impoverished District 12, has been destroyed. Yet, whisked away against her will as the symbol of resistance to the “forgotten” District 13, Katniss (Lawrence) must rise from the ashes as a country’s mockingjay against the tyrannical government run by President Snow (Sutherland).
Directed by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire helmer Francis Lawrence, both Mockingjay films were shot concurrently, with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 due out in tehaters on November 21, 2014.
