Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett will make English-Language version of Korean serial killer pic I Saw The Devil
Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett, the production team behind the upcoming genre film The Guest, are going to be tackling another genre, serial killer revenge movies.
Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard reportedly in negotiations to write and direct an English-language of I Saw The Devil. The original film was directed by South Korea’s Kim Jee-Woon in 2010 and starred Lee Byung-hun from G.I. Joe and Choi Min-sik from Oldboy.
In I Saw The Devil, a special agent’s pregnant fiancé is killed by serial killer, setting off a lethal and personal manhunt as the hero becomes a monster and it gets harder to tell good from evil.
The film will be produced by Snoot Entertainment, who made The Guest and You're Next.
Wingard and Barrett worked together on the films A Horrible Way to Die, V/H/S and You're Next.
