The Other Woman star will go on a new Vacation.
Filming starts next week on the it-was-inevitable reboot of Vacation, and Leslie Mann has joined the cast as Audrey Griswold, the sister of Ed Helms’ Rusty Griswold. Rusty and Audrey are, of course, the now-grown children of Clark Grisworld, the role immortalized by Chevy Chase in the original 1983 movie and two sequels. Chase and Beverly D’Angelo, who played his wife Ellen in the original series, will make an appearance as well in this one, which also stars Christina Applegate.
The reboot has been written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who are making their debut as directors. They’re also apparently not done with casting either: Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are negotiating to show up in the comedy, which does not yet have a release date.
Mann starred earlier this year in The Other Woman and has been a winning presence in her husband Judd Apatow’s movies Knocked Up and This is 40, among others.
