If people don't like Bryan Singer's Superman Returns, they're sure not saying it to Brandon Routh's face...
Now firmly ensconced in the cast of Arrow, and ahead of the start of Arrowseason 3, Brandon Routh has been nattering a little about his time as Superman, in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns. Specifically, the negative reaction the film attracts in some quarters.
Chatting to The DJ Tanner Show, reported via ComicBook.com, Routh said that nobody "had the balls" to criticise either the film or his work in it to his face. Furthermore, he says the worst reaction he gets about Superman Returns is when he meets people who seem ashamed to like it.
"It doesn't weigh on me and never really did. I took the job knowing full well that was going to be something that was going to be part of my life probably forever", he said. "Thankfully it's in a good way. I'm proud of the movie and a lot of people enjoyed it so that helps, I guess. And having it be such an inspirational, iconic role, that's a nice thing to carry with me and have it be part of who people see me as."
Arrow returns next month.
