The Parks and Rec funny man sells a new comedy idea to two Hollywood heavy-hitters.

On Parks and Recreation, Ben Schwartz plays Jean Ralphio, the fast-talking, swag obsessed trust fund kid who has even worse get rich quick schemes than his best friend, Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari).  However, in real life, Schwartz may have some good ideas after all.

Schwartz recently has pitched a yet untitled project that has gained attention from two of Hollywood’s go-to funny men, Anchorman director and frequent Will Ferrell collaborator Adam McKay and leading man Seth Rogen. There are no details on just what Schwartz’s pitch was about, but Variety reports that it was solid enough to get McKay on board to direct and Rogen ready to star. Schwartz will co-star.

Ferrell and McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions will produce alongside Rogen’s writing/directing/producing partner Evan Goldberg.  Though we don’t know anything about what the comedy could be about, it hasn’t stopped Rogen and McKay from hyping it.

“Every two thousand years, the planets of our galaxy align in a perfect line that funnels the cosmic energies of the universe to flow into one perfect comedic collaboration. The time is now. This is that project. Nothing will ever be the same,” Rogen says of Schwartz’s apparently genius pitch, with McKay jokingly adding, “Evan and Seth have been doing amazing things, and we’re so excited to work with them. Ben, not so much. Most of my problems with him are personal ones, but I have to give it up … he did come up with a great idea.”

Hopefully we’ll have more details on the project soon.
