Uh-oh. A new report suggests that the Deadpool movie will have to fit into PG-13 clothes...
Fresh in from our "it sounded too good to be true" department comes news that the greenlight given to the long-mooted Deadpool movie may have had a sting in the tail. For a long time, the thinking was that it was virtually impossible to do justice to the harder edges of Deadpooland not have an R-rating as a consequence of that. Thus, when news broke last week that the film has a February 2016 release date, it was assumed that had been accepted.
That may not be the case.
Schmoes Know is reporting that Deadpoolhas got its greenlight because it's going to arrived adorned with the much-loved PG-13 rating. "I heard from the director that they finally figured out the script,"Schmoes Know said, "and it was right before this was announced that they figured out, and you guys are all going to hate this, they figured out how to make it PG-13. And therefore not lose its soul - that's a quote - of the script, so they can make it."
Tim Miller is directing Deadpool, having been working on the project for sometime. Obviously there's no confirmation of this anytime soon, but as we hear more, we'll keep you posted...
