Some fans of Chan-wook Park may still be perplexed as to the forthcoming remake of South Korean classic Oldboy, but the poster for the Hollywood take still looks very intriguing.
Set to star Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen and Samuel L. Jackson, Spike Lee teases audiences with their glimpse of Brolin the role of Joe Doucett.
Oldboy tells the story of an advertising executive who was inexplicably locked away in solitary confinement for 20 years. After a seemingly random release, he goes on a quest of revenge and obsession to find out why he was so tormented. Except, his suffering has just begun.
Oldboy opens October 25.
