Watch the much more safe for work green band trailer for Seth Rogen and James Franco's The Interview.
This weekend saw the release of the very, very red band trailer for Seth Rogen and James Franco’s upcoming The Interview. How could it not be when it’s the guys behind Pineapple Express and This is the End? However, for those of you who are at work now or were just too squeamish for that bit of R-rated goodness, they have released a different cut that is decidedly green band, but that also reveals some new footage from the movie, including more of what kind of TV show Rogen and Franco run. See, writers and directors Rogen and Evan Goldberg can do all-ages jokes too!
The Interview has already made waves in public given its somewhat touchy geopolitical set-up: Dave Skylark (Franco) and Aaron Rapoport (Rogen) are the respective star and producer of a popular celebrity gossip/tabloid talk show in the U.S. when they are invited to interview Kim Jong-un. But instead of just interviewing the communist leader, they are recruited by the CIA to also assassinate him. The premise has left the North Korean regime in Pyongyang less than amused, as the actual Kim Jong-un has called the movie a “wanton act of terror.”
The Interview will be near your home for Christmas.
