So Let It Be Done
Biblical epics are on the way back. The trailer looks very promising. 20th Century Fox is parting the red sea for this. Moses and Ramses are very competitive: The bald one with his armies and horses, the rebel Moses with his plagues and tornadoes.
The latest biblical epic was directed by Ridley Scott. He’s got big sandals to fill as he competes with the perennial classic The Ten Commandments in scope and spectacle.
Exodus: Gods and Kingsalso stars John Turturro, Breaking Bad’s own meth cook Aaron Paul, Ben Mendelsohn, with Sigourney Weaver. The movie opens December 12, 2014, the beginning of the holiday season.
