Watch the glorious third and final trailer for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, which finally turns its attention to the stars and beyond.

Ever since The Dark Knight Trilogy ended, the entire Internet seemed to be in an uproar about what Christopher Nolan could do next or how he could possibly go bigger. Yet when we’re three trailers (and one teaser) into genuine unabashed hype for Interstellar, and you can tell that we’re only scratching the surface of what the film is about, you begin to realize this might be his grandest vision yet.

Yes, the third trailer for Interstellar is here, and it continues the trend of the previous two of inching ever further into the realm of serious science fiction with less-and-less focus being on the struggles on Earth. Indeed, this bit of marketing exhilaration is the first to focus more on the space travel. There are tidal waves the size of mountains, and more telling interactions between Matthew McConaughey’s Cooper and Anne Hathaway’s Brand. However, once again, the actual specifics of their interstellar travel and just exactly what they hope to accomplish or witness remains beautifully vague. Leaving mystery for the final film is thus so much more rewarding.

Also note that theoretical physicist Kip Thorne’s musings about wormhole “time travel” are being more stably hinted at since Hathaway insists that Cooper may have to make a choice about ever seeing his kids again (before they die of old age) and saving the human race. However, Brand’s father, played by the magnificent Michael Caine, also said in this trailer that Cooper’s daughter (played by both Mackenzie Foy and Jessica Chastain) will be of the last generation of humans on Earth. It seems there is more of a time limit than we could have possibly realized! Also, is that Hans Zimmer's score, finally?

Interstellar is a mysterious adventure about a group of scientists and explorers who must go into space to save mankind’s destiny following a negative effect on Earth’s crops. It can sound a bit vague, but you can head over to our Interstellar: Everything We Know article for more details about this intentional mystery.

The movie is based on a script written by Jonathan Nolan (originally meant for Steven Spielberg to direct) and Christopher Nolan, and stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace, John Lithgow, and Michael Caine.

Interstellar takes off November 7, 2014.
