Cinematographer Janusz Kaminski's next film is apparently going to be Indiana Jones 5. That's what it says here...
Yep, we know the rule too. If you read a news story and it has a question mark in it, then chances are it's not something that's likely to happen. But bear with us on this.
At some point in the future, another Indiana Jones film will happen. It seems fairly certain, given that Disney paid extra to pay the theatrical rights to the series from Paramount, and there are occasional murmurings too that a new movie is on the horizon. Harrison Ford for one has always refused to rule out one last hurrah.
Cinematographer Janusz Kaminski, a long-time Steven Spielberg collaborator, is part of a new online course that Varietyhas put together for aspiring filmmakers. As such, he'll be one of the people presenting a bunch of online instructional videos. But scroll down the article introducing said course, and you get the following bio for Kaminski:
"Kaminski has made more than a dozen films with Steven Spielberg, earning two Oscars along the way. His credits include Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan and The Diving Bell & the Butterfly. His next project is the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones movie".
See the reason for that question mark now? It's a mention of Indiana Jones 5 out of nowhere, at a reasonably good source. So while we've not official word on the project, there's a sneaking suspicion that it's a bit closer than we may have thought.
We'll keep you posted...
