Jude Law goes Scottish and searches for Nazi gold in the forthcoming thriller, Black Sea. Here's the first trailer...
Director Kevin Macdonald has a varied range of films behind him, from the documentary One Day In September to the dramas The Last King Of Scotland and How I Live Now. Black Sea marks another change of pace: described as an adventure thriller, it stars Jude Law as a submarine captain who leads a furtive mission to find sunken Nazi gold on the sea floor. As the group nears their shiny prize, they begin to turn on each other, with murderous results.
Law, replete with Scottish accent, is joined by a great cast, including Ben Mendelsohn, Michael Smiley, David Threlfall and Scoot McNairy. Macdonald's direction looks tense and claustrophobic, while the plot has a hint of The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre about it.
Black Sea is out in UK cinemas on the 5th December and the US on January 23rd, 2015.
