David Lynch and Mark Frost drop hints in mysterious tweets.
Are co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost planning to bring Twin Peaks out of the Black Lodge and back into our world? Speculation about a return for the cult TV series (which recently got – along with its companion movie prequel, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me– a deluxe Blu-ray box set treatment) was kicked up a few notches when both men simultaneously tweeted this message on Friday morning:
Dear Twitter Friends: That gum you like is going to come back in style! #damngoodcoffee

What does it mean? Who knows? There have been rumors of a new Twin Peaksbefore, and Lynch has not done much in either the movie or TV realm since his last feature, Inland Empire. He’s given no indication that he’d like to bring the show back, but the head of Netflix would sure love to add it to that outlet’s growing roster of original programming. And the fact that Frost and Lynch tweeted the same thing at the same time is certainly unusual. Is it possible that Netflix has made Lynch and Frost an offer tastier than a good cuppa joe?
All right, we’ll stop our baseless speculation right there and let you begin yours. Should Twin Peaks come back?
