An ancient 78 record scratches out spooky promises from Vera Lynn that “We’ll Meet Again” as a young boy, who may or may not grow up to be Harry Potter explores what looks like an abandoned British boys’ boarding school in Pink Floyd The Wall style short pants. Creepy stuff, ripe for a jump scare.
The new trailer for The Woman in Black: Angel of Death promises atmosphere. Daniel Radcliffe isn’t in evidence, but that’s okay. This is Hammer Films and Radcliffe may be on his way to Christopher Lee territory. He’s already known as a kind of iconic horror kid and this is the second movie he’s making for the classic horror studio.
The Woman in Black: Angel of Death happens forty years after the first movie and, according to reports and IMDb, has a whole new set of characters who are hiding from WWII bombings in the haunted Eel Marsh House. The London Blitz apparently wakes up Eel Marsh House’s “darkest inhabitant,” played by Leanne Best.
The Woman in Black: Angel of Death is set to premiere on January 30, 2015.
