People have been trying to get Bill Murray to doGhostbusters 3since, well, since Ghostbusters 2. It didn't happen. It probably isn't gonna happen. But that doesn't mean that he's quite ready to close the door just yet.
As for his thoughts on the latest iteration, which sees Bridesmaidsdirector Paul Feig reimagining the movie as a fresh start with an all-female cast, well, don't expect him in it.
"“People say, ‘Bill, you could get so rich!'"he told Variety."I'm OK...I don't look it, but I'm OK."
But that doesn't mean that people won't stop asking him. “What they really want to do is resurrect a franchise. The first one was a spectacular movie, one of the greatest movies. The second one was...it had a few good scenes in it." Ah, Bill, so charitable! Alright, fine, some folks like it.
Still, let's not forget that Murray gushed about the prospect of an all-female Ghostbustersmovie before that project was all officially official. Maybe that's just the fresh start that it would take to get him back in the door for some kind of cameo (NOT as Peter Venkman, mind you). We suspect, though, that he just enjoys toying with us.
