The legendary horror director once again will produce for Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues.
On paper, a remake of the Evil Deadsounded horrible. Sam Raimi’s low budget cult classic is a favorite among horror fans, but with Raimi producing with original star Bruce Campbell, most were pleased with new director Fede Alvarez and writer Rodo Sayagues, film. Surprisingly, the film was heralded by fans and critics alike, and now Raimi is ready to do business with the pair again.
Raimi, along with Rob Tapert, will produce the duo’s thriller, A Man In the Dark, through their Ghost House Pictures, once again written by Sayagues with Alvarez set to direct. The film centers on three teen robbers who plan elaborate heists of extravagant homes. The group set their sights on the home of a blind, reclusive millionaire, and once they break inside, they find a psychopathic old man harboring chilling secrets waiting to combat them.
After A Man In The Dark, the duo of Alvarez and Sayagues intend on revisiting the Evil Dead universe, with two more sequels planned to be produced by Ghost House to create their own standalone trilogy.
